How is the attendance recorded being computed on the E-Report Card?

There are 2 options on how school would like their attendance to be display on the E-Report Card

a. Some schools prefer to show the exact number of days for the whole terms or semester on the report cards, meaning if the report card is printed before the Term/Semester ends system shall take those remaining number of days as ‘Present’ recorded for the student.

b. BUT some school prefer to print the total number of days up to report card printing day ONLY meaning on the report card it shall be printed as TOTAL ATTENDANCE MARKING DAY up to the day that the report card is printed. To choose this option you will need to make sure your Daily Class attendance is taken every day.Due to differences in school practice on computation of student attendance on the report cards we have provided a setting under the “General Parameter Setting” in the Basic module for user to set the computation that the school is practicing.

If your school is practicing (a) above, please set the setting to “Invert Attendance Derivation” else you need to set as “Derived from Attendance History” Example: if school terms/semester starts from 03/01/2007 to 28/06/2007 and maintain as 98 days as schooling days on the Academic Year Setting. And if the report cards are printed on 20/06/2007 Option (a) shall print as xx/98 where 98 is the TOTAL SCHOOL DAY as maintain in the academic year setup for that particular term/semester for the examination ( in the example is 98 ) and xx is computed as TOTAL SCHOOL DAYSTUDENT’s TOTAL ABSENT DAY. Meaning the remaining days between 20/06/2007 and 28/06/2007 is taken as Present for all students.

Note: If there are student having entry date > semester start date maintain in their profile system shall automatically go for option (b) computation for this particular student even if you have set to follow (a) on the General Setting. Option (b) shall print xx/90 where xx is the number present day recorded and 90 days is the number of total attendance marking day up to 20/06/2007 the report card printing day. By default System shall follow option (a). For combine exam, system shall sum up all the sub-exam and follows similar rules as above.

Important Notes: All settings needs to be done before you run the class/level ranking process if you have made changes to the setting after the ranking process, please rerun the Class Result Adjustment Process and tick on the Attendance check box under “Reload Latest Value For Following Information”, noted also this process is to be perform class by class.
