Adding Flickr Widget
What is Flickr?
Flickr (www.flickr.com) is a photo sharing website and web services suite, and an online community platform, which is generally considered an early example of a Web 2.0 application.
In addition to being a popular Web site for users to share personal photographs, the service is widely used by bloggers as a photo repository. Its popularity has been fueled by its innovative online community tools that allow photos to be tagged and browsed by folksonomic means.
How Do you Add the Flickr widget to your blog?
1. Join Flickr at http://www.flckr.com/
2. Click Presentation, Widgets and drag the Flickr widget from the Available Widget area into the sidebar.
3. Click the little box on the right side of the Flickr widget, you will see the following configuration box
4. Enter the “Title” of your Flickr, e.g. “My Favourite Trips”
5. On your Flickr Account, or any other people’s Flickr Photo Set, find the RSS feed of the Photo Set, which looks like follow:
6. Copy and paste the RSS links onto the “Flickr RSS URL”
7. Select the number of photos that you would like to display on the Sidebar;
8. Remember to Click “Save Changes” before you exit the Sidebar Widgets; If everything is correct you will start seeing your recent Flickr Photos showing up in your sidebar.
