DNS Settings

DNS refer to Domain Name System. It use to translate a host name to ip address. For the pc inside the school network able to access the SMS website locally using schoolname.school.my, each of the pc have to change the DNS to the SMS server IP address.

Below are the step

1. Click on Start, Select Control Panel.
2. Select Network Connection and right click on Local Area Connection and select Properties.
3. Under General tab, select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click on Properties.

4. Tick on the Use the following DNS server address, and fill in the Preferred DNS Server with the IP of the SMS server. While Alternate DNS Server, you can fill in the DNS server for your ISP.
