Definition
RSS, which stands for Rich Site Summary or Really Simple Syndication, is a family of web feed formats used to publish frequently updated content such as blog posts, news headlines, photos, PDF files, audio and video files. A RSS document, which is called a “feed,” “web feed,” or “channel,” contains either a summary of content from an a web site or the full text.. It acts as an organizer to make it easier to transport the content as it is changing. RSS content can be read using software called a “feed reader” or an “aggregator”.
